The Lido – Montenegro

Aquascapes was proud to play a central role in the design and delivery of a spectacular 215ft infinity pool at the prestigious Porto Montenegro marina, the ultimate playground for luxury and exclusivity. Suspended over the Adriatic Sea and built atop a former dry dock, this extraordinary pool combines breathtaking architectural ambition with cutting-edge engineering, creating one of the largest and most impressive pools ever constructed in Europe.

Selected as part of a British-led design team reporting to Mace Construction, Aquascapes provided specialist consultancy throughout the project. Our team developed full design specifications and detailed drawings, and advised on every technical aspect, including filtration systems, hydraulic services, heating, and chemical dosing plant. As the project evolved, our role expanded into full project management and supervisory responsibilities, ensuring that the aesthetic vision seamlessly aligned with the functionality required for a pool of this scale.

Delivered under a fast-track programme to meet the personal milestone of one of the investors, the pool holds over 1,000 tonnes of water—larger than an Olympic pool—and has attracted national coverage across both tabloids and broadsheets. The project stands as a landmark achievement in European wet-leisure design, showcasing Aquascapes’ ability to transform ambitious visions into functional, awe-inspiring reality.
