Sustainability

In the leisure industry, sustainability can be achieved by reusing as much waste heat and water as possible. Using renewable energy such as solar panels and wind farms also helps with less of an impact on the environment.

Aquascapes are and have been leading the drive towards limiting the impact on the environment by construction work. As a result, we are known by leading consultants for our efforts in this field.

There are a number of features we are including in our projects such as waste water from the pool to be used to flush the toilets. Rainwater is also collected to replenish the water lost in the pool due to evaporation.

We also recommend to include thermal zoning, minimal temperature drop and the installation of a pool cover.  Increasing insulation depth, inverter driven pumps, higher efficiency filtration media and heat recovery from shower discharge are also advised.

BCC Roots in the Sky project is a prime example of sustainability within the leisure industry. It will include many features including harvesting rain water and reusing waste heat.
