Thorpe Park

Towards the South of Cleethorpes in Lincolnshire lies Haven Holiday Homes, Thorpe Park.

For this project Aquascapes were awarded the task of designing and building their outdoor wet leisure facilities. The facilities included a flume and a lazy river.

The main feature of the whole development is the outdoor Space Bowl flume. A vivid purple in colour, the flume’s exit leads to the lazy river.

Water at the bottom of the flume is allowed to overflow directly into the lazy river (see photo on right).

For those wanting a more chilled-out water adventure rather than slides and flumes, they can relax in the lazy river. The lazy river which snakes around next to the flume.

Separate from the Space Bowl flume, the younger children staying at the park have an outdoor splash zone. Children can enjoy playing on colourful slides and messing about in the water features.

Another outdoor feature of the complex is a bright pink speed slide which spirals twice before its exit close to the lazy river.
